England’s Tommy Fleetwood is one shot off the lead at the halfway point of the Honda Classic, BBC report.

Fleetwood, 27, followed up his opening round of 70 with a superb two-under-par 68 at Palm Beach on a day where many top players struggled.

However, American Luke List, like Fleetwood, had no such problems as he shot a four-under-par 66 to climb up the leaderboard and is now tied with fellow countryman Jamie Lovemark for a share of the lead on three under.

High profile names such as Ian Poulter, Graeme McDowell and Luke Donald all struggled during the opening two rounds in Florida, with all three failing to make the weekend’s play.

British hopes now seem to be lying with Southport’s Fleetwood, who is the reigning Race to Dubai champion, as he looks for another solid round on Saturday to give him a chance come the final round on Sunday.
