Sergio Garcia is ready to host his nations tournament this week at the former Ryder Cup winning venue, Club Valderrama.
Garcia will be looking to put a disappointing week at the Masters behind him after finishing T34th on eight-over par after rounds of 69, 75, 81 and 71 Augusta National.

Back in 1997, the great Seve Ballesteros captained Europe to victory in his home country of Spain to leave his lasting legacy of the Ryder Cup on a high.
The last time the European Tour event, the Spanish Open was held at Valderrama, Sergio Garcia was the victor and he says he ‘loves’ the place.
The world number 16 told Sky Sports: “It’s amazing, there’s nothing like it. To be able to be the host of the Spanish Open, one of the oldest opens we have on the European Tour, and also here at Valderrama – it’s so iconic – I love it.

“It’s really a great experience and I’m sure it will be a great tournament.
“When you come back to somewhere where you have done well, and feel comfortable and you know what you’re doing, it always helps so hopefully there will more of that this week.”
