Jason Day is in a tie for the lead at the RBC Heritage Open after a two-under round of 69.
The Australian is in a tie with American, Kevin Chappell, who shot a three-under 68 to finish level with Day on six-under.
Day started the day with a par, before carding back-to-back birdies on holes two and three to get him to two under for the day.

The 28-year-old bogeyed the fifth hole but got that shot back a hole later when he birdied the par-four sixth.
Day’s back nine went very stale as he carded seven straight pars, and then bogeyed the 17th, but got back out in front after a birdie down the last.
Tied at the top with Day, Chappell made a lightning start to the round after shooting back-to-back birdies on holes one and two and then birdied the third as well to get to three under for the day.

Chappell moved onto the back nine needing one birdie to get one clear at the top, but he bogeyed the par four 11th hole. He got that shot back on the 14th and that was it on day two for the American.
British pair Luke Donald and Russell Knox are well within sticking distance as they sit one behind the leaders.
English pair Paul Casey and Matthew Fitzpatrick failed to make the cut as they sat three over par.
