Spanish Open leader Mike Lorenzo-Vera has said he’s going to try and relax and enjoy the experience as much as possible.
No player in the field is under par, with leader Lorenzo leading by one shot at one-over par.
The Frenchman started the round with a birdie at three but got to one over par for the day after he made a double bogey at the par five fourth hole. The world number 312 then birdied the next hole to get back to level par.
Lorenzo then managed eight consecutive pars before getting to one-under when he birdied the par three 12th hole.
The 31-year-old then carded back-to-back bogeys on 15 and 16 then shot an eagle on 17, but a bogey at the last meant he led by one.

Lorenzo told the EuropeanTour.com : “I’m very excited.
“I’m going to have a big nap tonight because it takes so much energy to stay patient here.
“I’m just going to try to relax and enjoy it as much as I can tomorrow.
“The wedge was very hot today. I holed two chips and a shot which is pretty cool

“I’m just trying to look at the pace of the leaderboard and accept that you’re going to have a lot of bogeys here.
“A bogey on the hole is never really a bad score so you just try to accept it. Take the bogey and get out of there.”
