Mike Lorenzo-Vera managed to shoot a level par round in the very harsh conditions of Club Valderrama.
No player in the field is under par, with leader Lorenzo leading by one shot one-over par.
The Frenchman started the round with a birdie at three but got to one over par for the day after he made a double bogey at the par five fourth hole. The world number 312 then birdied the next hole to get back to level par.
Lorenzo then managed eight consecutive pars before getting to one-under when he birdied the par three 12th hole.

The 31-year-old then carded back-to-back bogeys on 15 and 16 then shot an eagle on 17, but a bogey at the last meant he led by one.
Former US Open champion and Ryder Cup star Martin Kaymer is in a tie for second with Dutchman Joost Luiten and Englishman Andrew Johnston.

The German was another player who shot a level par round after carding back-to-back birdies on five and three and 10 and 11 but unfortunately shot bogeys at the seventh, ninth, 12th and 14th.
Tournament host Sergio Garcia is on seven over par after carding a four-over round today and will need an under-par round tomorrow to get back in contention.
