One Direction star Niall Horan has confirmed he will again be taking part in this year’s pro-am prior to the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Horan attracted a big crowd when he teed up in last year’s event alongside good friend Rory Mcilroy and former Manchester United players Phil Neville and Paul Scholes.

The Irishman is well known as an avid golfer and is an honorary life member of Mullingar Golf Club in County Westmeath, and will be teeing up alongside Englishmen Justin Rose this year on the west course.
Horan told Sky Sports: “Playing in the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-am last year was incredible and I can’t wait to be involved again.
“Hitting my tee shot off the first in front of so many people was probably one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done, but once that was out of the way I relaxed and we had a laugh.

He continued on to say about his relationship with 2013 US Open Champion, Justin Rose. He said: “Justin has become a great friend over the last few years and I can’t wait to play alongside him.”
The Horan & Rose Gala Dinner and Golf Day will take place on the last weekend of May and will raise money for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens, which is also the official charity for the BMW PGA Championship.
