Charley Hoffman is tied at the top of the leaderboard overnight although play was suspended due to poor light.
The American is at the top with Brandon Steele after carding a round of 66 at the TPC San Antonio.
Hoffman started the day in the perfect way by birdieing the par-four first hole and didn’t look back. He also carded back-to-back birdies on holes five and six to finish the front nine at three-under par.
The 39-year-old started the back nine in the same fashion as he birdied the 11th, 13th, and the par four 15th to leave him on six under for his round.
The only blemish on Hoffman’s card was on the 17th as he could on shoot a bogey-five, but luckily for the American, he got that shot straight back on the last to hold the clubhouse lead with Steele, but, due to bad light, Steele will have to go out early Friday morning and to complete his round.
Englishman Luke Donald has made a good start to the second tournament in a row, albeit, he’s only played 15 holes. In them 15 holes, the 39-year-old is three-under after carding four birdies and a bogey.
