You said Lowry should go to the Ryder Cup

In one of our latest polls, you said that Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter, and Shane Lowry should be boarding the plane to Hazeltine in September.

Rory McIlroy, Danny Willet, Henrik Stenson, Rafa Cabrera-Bello, Justin Rose, Andy Sullivan, Sergio Gracia, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Thomas Pieters were not included in the pole as they currently occupy the nine automatic qualifying spots, but that could change.

On top of those nine, captain, Darren Clark will choose three additional players to make up his 12 man team in the form of wild card picks and that is what you were voting on.

Lee Westwood won 82% of his duels, even though he will be 43 when the Ryder Cup come along.

Unsurprisingly Europe’s postman, Ian Poulter won 69% of his duels and the final wild card place went to Shane Lowry as he won 60% of his duels.

Martin Kaymer narrowly missed out as he won 55% of his duels, but he could still catch Thomas up and overtake him into the last automatic spot.

Soren Kjeldsen and Victor Dubuisson won 38% and 33% of their duels respectively while Jamie Donaldson, who hit the winning shot at the 2014 Ryder Cup, only won 29% of his duels.

Bernd Wiesberger sits alongside Englishman Luke Donald on 25% whilst Chris Wood is routed to the bottom of the table with only 17%.
