Luke Donald is now well in contention for the second week in a row after a fine round of 68 left him two shots off leader Ricky Barnes.

Donald started the day in average fashion after carding four straight pars and then bogeyed the par-four fifth hole.

The Englishman then went on to birdie six and eight to get to one-under par for the front nine.

Donald opened up the back nine with two straight pars again before birdieing the par four 12th hole to get to two under for the day.

The 38-year-old pared 13, 14, 16, 18 and with two birdies on holes 15 and 17, meant he got to four under par for the day and two off the leader.

Ricky Barns leads after carding a five under 67 to take a one-shot lead on Sunday.

The 35-year-old carded birdies on holes, one, three, six, 11, 12, 14 and 17, but bogeys on holes nine and 18 pegged him back to being only one in front.

Last week’s winner, Brandon Grace, managed to card a three under 69 after carding birdies on one, five, 12 and 17, but a bogey on two brought him back to three under for the tournament.
