Hoffman wins in Texas
Charley Hoffman claimed a one-shot victory over fellow American Patrick Reed after shooting a final round 69.
It was a pretty standard front nine for the American who bogeyed the third but got back to level par for the day after birdieing the fourth hole.
It was a better back nine for the 39-year-old who played it three under and without and blemish. He started by birding the 11th hole and then the 14th.
Hoffman was level with Patrick Reed before he stepped up a carded a birdie three on the par four last hole to take the title.
Ricky Barnes will be very disappointed after going into the weekend in a great position to take the title but fell to a two over par 74 on the final day.
Things started badly for Barnes who bogeyed the first hole which is never a good start.
The next two hole settled the nerves by carding back-to-back pars before shooting a birdie at the fourth. But, the 35-year-old bogeyed the sixth and ninth to fall to two-over for the day and fall off the summit of the leaderboard.
Two more bogeys were to be carded at the 10th and 12th, but a mini resurgence was good enough to get back into the top five after birdies on the 13th and the last.
Luke Donald also fell to a two over 74 and as a result fell back up the world rankings by one place to 69th after dropping 22 places last week.
