American golfer Bill Haas rushed to hospital after horrific car crash
American golfer Bill Haas is in a “serious condition” in hospital after he was involved in a car crash that left one person dead and two in critical condition, according to a report on BBC Sport.
The golfer was a passenger in a Ferrari as it collided with a BMW in Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
The driver of the Ferrari was pronounced dead at the scene and Haas was rushed to hospital alongside another person.
A detective from the Los Angeles police department said:
Mr Bill Haas was the passenger in the Ferrari. Apparently, from what I was told, he’s doing OK too.
Haas is 67th in the world rankings and was preparing to participate in the Genesis Open at the nearby Riviera Country Club. The tournament begins on Thursday and Haas was expected to play, however, he has definitely been ruled out.
The Los Angeles Fire Department released a statement saying that both of the people who were rushed to the hospital, one of them being Haas, were in a ‘serious condition’.
The other person who was taken to hospital with Haas has been revealed as a 50-year-old female. The fact that Haas survived the crash is a miracle especially after the driver of the car that he was in died almost immediately.
