American Webb Simpson stormed into a five-shot lead at the halfway point in the Players Championship in Florida, Sky Sports report.
Simpson posted a course record-equalling second round 63 to establish a five-shot lead at -15, and nearly set a new record, but found the water on the 17th.
The 32-year-old is without a victory on the PGA Tour since 2013.

The American’s nearest challengers are fellow American Patrick Cantlay, South African Charl Schwartzel and Danny Lee of New Zealand, all on -10.
Fourteen-time major winner Tiger Woods managed to scrape into the weekend action, along with world number two Justin Thomas and world number four Jordan Spieth.
There was no such luck for Rory McIlroy however, who failed to make the cut.
The Northern Irishman needed to par the last two holes to survive, but found the water on the 17th which led to a double-bogey and an early exit from the Players Championship.
