Tiger Woods believes he will win a tournament soon

Tiger Woods has revealed that he believes he is close to winning a tournament after his brilliant performance at the Players Championship at Sawgrass, according to a report on the Express.

The American started slowly but stormed up the leaderboard towards the end but he couldn’t mount a title challenge on the final day as he finished seven shots behind winner Webb Simpson.

However, the performance was encouraging for Woods, who was in high spirits after the event. There is a feel-good factor around him at the moment and he claims it is only a matter of time before he wins a tournament.

He said:

There is no way I would have predicted I would be at this point at the beginning of the year. The way I was coming back into it, I was just trying to get a feel for it and hopefully have a schedule.

But now I’m playing tournament golf and I’m not far from winning golf tournaments.

Woods was having trouble with his putting this year but it seems that he has managed to overcome that and he is already looking forward to the next event in which he will play.

He also revealed that he is eager to play in the WGC-Bridgestone in August, which is a tournament that he has won eight times during his career.
