Tiger Woods has confirmed that he will participate in this year’s Jack Nicklaus’ Memorial Tournament, according to a report on ESPN.
The American officially added the tournament to his busy schedule as he looks to get in shape prior to the US Open.
The 42-year-old is in confident mood after finishing in 11th place at the Players Championship. He has a very good record in the Memorial, winning the event five times over the course of his career.
Woods is eager to make it number six as he continues his hunt for a victory since his return to action.
Just one year ago, Woods could barely walk and there were questions about whether he would ever play golf again, but now he is returning to form and is taking it one tournament at a time.
He has had concerns regarding his putting, but over the last week at the Players Championship, he was pleased to see an improvement.
The event is scheduled to start at the end of this month on 28 May and will conclude on 3 June.
