Tiger Woods would ‘love’ to see PGA Tour allow shorts

14-time major winner Tiger Woods has recently admitted he would love for the PGA Tour to allow competitors to wear shorts, Golf Channel report.

Players on the European Tour are allowed to wear shorts during practice rounds, along with players preparing for last year’s PGA Championship also allowed to show some leg.

Woods admitted on a Facebook Live with Bridgestone Golf that he would like to see the PGA Tour also give the green light to shorts, even with his ‘chicken legs’.

I would love it. We play in some of the hottest climates on the planet. We usually travel with the sun, and a lot of our events are played in the summer, and then on top of that when we have the winter months here a lot of the guys go down to South Africa and Australia where it’s summer down there. It would be nice to wear shorts. Even with my little chicken legs, I still would like to wear shorts.

Woods, who has recovered from a long-term back injury, has put in some fine performances since his comeback, managing to finish in the top 10 on three occasions since his return.

With caddies already given permission to wear shorts, we may be seeing competitors like Woods gracing the course also ditching the trousers if the PGA Tour agree to allow it.
