Tiger Woods will play alongside the world’s top two of Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson for the first two rounds of the US Open, the BBC report.
Woods, a three-time US Open winner, is set to tee off on Thursday afternoon, with the trio’s scheduled time set for 13:47 followed by a Friday morning second round tee time of 08:02.

Johnson won his first career major title two years ago, while Thomas is the reigning PGA champion and recently took the top spot in the world rankings ahead of Johnson, however, Johnson can reclaim that back with a win at the St Jude Classic.
Woods, 42, has won 14 major championships, however, he has not won a major event since the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines but has been back in good form in recent months after recovering from a back problem.
The grouping of Woods, Thomas and Johnson is arguably the highest-profile grouping amongst the players, along with Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson who have all been placed together on Thursday morning.
