Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods both endured frustrating second rounds at the BMW Championship, with the pair both falling down the leaderboard in Philadelphia, Sky Sports report.
Woods, who was recently chosen as a wildcard for the Ryder Cup which begins later this month, made seven birdies and an eagle in his opening 62, however, the American could only manage a level round of 70 on Friday.
The 42-year-old bogeyed the final two holes and couldn’t hide his frustration when talking to Sky Sports shortly after.

It’s very simple, I just didn’t make any putts.
That round today was easily six or seven under par, and it turned into even par which is not what I needed to do today. Everyone is going low and birdies should be had.
Northern Irish star McIlroy also suffered a similar round to Woods, carding a one under round of 69, to leave him four shots off leader Xander Schauffele.
However, despite struggling around the greens, McIlory did pull his round together in the final five holes, clawing his way back into the top 10 ahead of the weekend’s action with birdies at the 13th and 16th.
Both McIlroy and Woods will be searching to regain their form from their opening rounds on Saturday, with the likes of Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler and Keegan Bradley all now ahead of the duo.
