Tiger Woods has revealed that Rory McIlroy must improve his putting if he is to play to the best of his ability at the upcoming Ryder Cup, according to a report on the Express.
Woods and McIlroy have been seeing plenty of each other over the past week and both players played a 9-hole practice session together, with Woods being impressed with what he saw from the Irishman.

McIlroy is one shot off the lead whilst Woods is five away from leader Justin Rose, with play currently stopped due to adverse weather conditions.
Woods believes that McIlroy’s putting could be the thing that lets him down and has advised him to work on it ahead of the Ryder Cup.
The American said:
We were just having a hit around Tuesday just to get to know the golf course but what I saw of Rory’s game there weren’t too many concerns that I would be worrying about. In saying that, Rory’s playing well in streaks and just needs to put it together.
The thing is he is hitting it well at times but his putting lets him down and then when he starts making everything with the putter, he is not hitting quite as well with the driver.
I know how much the Ryder Cup means to him, as it does to all of us including myself, so look he’ll be alright and with the Ryder Cup again sure to bring out the best in his game.
McIlroy is well in contention to win the BMW Championship and if he does manage to secure the title at the Aronimink Golf Club, then he will be full of confidence heading into the Ryder Cup.
