Tiger Woods reveals how he plans to improve for next season

Tiger Woods has revealed that he will be working on his physical strength after the Ryder Cup as he looks to improve for next season.

The American is pleased with how this year has gone for him, especially after the numerous back problems that he suffered.

However, as reported on the Express, Woods is yet to win since returning to the golf course one year ago and he believes that he must improve his physical condition before the start of the next season.

Woods has shown positive signs this year and has managed to surge up the world rankings into 21st place.

He also finished in second place at the PGA Championship and secured a wildcard pick for this month’s Ryder Cup.

Woods said:

I’m going to take a long break after the Ryder Cup and we’re going to evaluate things but, more importantly, I need to start really lifting and getting after it and getting stronger in certain areas because playing every single week seems like every single day is maintenance at this point, war of attrition.

What you do in the offseason is what allows you to maintain it through the year especially on the backside of the year and I really didn’t train for all this.

Because I didn’t know how much I was going to be playing. I was just trying to play.

So, next year I have a better understanding of what I need to do and this offseason will be very different than it was last year.

Woods finished in tied 6th place in the BMW Championship and he has insisted that he is grateful just to be back out on the golf course just one year after he could barely walk.
