Following a successful return to action after a career-threatening back injury, Tiger Woods has now revealed he is suffering with ankle pain, CNN report.
The former world number one is currently competing at the Hero World Challenge, following ‘The Match’ with fellow American Phil Mickelson last weekend.
Woods, a 14-time major champion, has enjoyed a successful season since his return, however, he appeared to be walking with discomfort during the first round of the invitational event in the Bahamas.
The 42-year-old made a return to the sport after a fourth major back operation in April 2017 and recently competed at the Ryder Cup in Paris.
Talking after the first round in the Bahamas, Woods revealed he has been struggling with ankle pain for a few months following a busy schedule.
I’ve struggled with my ankles over the last few months. Still the same issues.
They’ve just been sore for months, just wear and tear.
Woods is currently two under at the Hero World Challenge, following up his first round of 73 on Thursday with an improved three under card 69 on Friday.
