Patrick Reed Returns To Open d’Italia Field At Circolo Golf Torino

Patrick Reed will return to Italy this week for the DS Automobiles 83° Open d’Italia, giving the DP World Tour’s post-U.S. Open reset a major-name hook in Turin.

The tournament takes place at Circolo Golf Torino from June 25-28, with Reed joining a field that also includes fellow major winner Danny Willett and European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, according to the DP World Tour’s confirmation of his Open d’Italia return.

Reed, a five-time DP World Tour winner, is making his second appearance in Italy’s national open after finishing tied 29th in 2024. His presence gives the event a useful headline name immediately after Wyndham Clark’s U.S. Open win at Shinnecock Hills.

Why Reed’s Turin return matters

The timing is the story. The Open d’Italia arrives as the European Swing moves towards its final stages, and Reed’s entry gives the week a sharper competitive edge for viewers looking beyond the major championship fallout.

For the DP World Tour, it is also a field-strength signal. Willett brings Masters pedigree, Donald brings Ryder Cup authority, and Reed brings the kind of proven match-play and major-stage profile that can lift a national open’s visibility.

Circolo Golf Torino now has a recognisable international storyline before a ball is struck. Reed will not be the only focus, but his return ensures the tournament starts with a name casual golf fans already know.
