Tiger Woods bounced back from a disappointing level par first round at the Quicken Loans National to card a five under par round of 65, matching his lowest score of the season.
Woods, who is playing in his 11th event of the year since his comeback from a back injury, showed glimpses of his old magic at TPC Potomac.

The 14-time major champion, who has 79 PGA Tour wins to his name, found some rhythm with his new putter during Friday’s play, making seven birdies.
Woods, who during the first round on Thursday made only 48 feet of putts, increased that to 122 feet of putts in the second round, which included two excellent par saves at the eighth and ninth.
Fellow American’s Beau Hossler, Brian Gay and Ryan Armour are all in a tie for the lead on nine under, and with Woods four shots back, Saturday’s play could prove crucial in his chase for his 80th PGA Tour win.
